The International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) compiled a team of experts to carry out this study, entitled The Provision of Satellite Broadband Services in Latin America and the Caribbean, for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The team included Wolfgang Wagner, the lead consultant on this project, Arnold Meyers, Carlos Placido, and Friedrich H. Luz. These experts were chosen from different backgrounds related to telecommunications and information and communication technology so that the publication would be comprehensive. Renata Brazil David, ITSO’s Director of Legal Affairs, and Antonio Garcia Zaballos, IDB’s Lead Specialist on telecommunications, acted as team leaders for this project. Jose Toscano, ITSO’s Director General, reviewed the publication and provided guidance and insights. The authors wish to acknowledge the valuable contributions and comments provided by the following individuals: Lorena Cano Cuadra, Technical Advisor for the Broadband Program at the IDB; Enrique Iglesias Rodriguez, Telecommunications Specialist at the IDB; and Clara Langevin, ITSO’s research assistant.
